August 9 – 15, 2019
Friday morning, after the expo, I packed and went out to brunch in Montreal to a place called B&M. I ordered a cheddar cheese and bacon benedict with potatoes and fruit on the side. Driving home took around 2 hours getting back to Ottawa. On the way, I was thinking about all the fun times and people I met at the expo. I’m really happy I went!
Friday night crept up on me and I couldn’t finish the blog in time. So, Saturday I posted the blog, went for a walk (got caught in the rain), and watched UFC at night. I had a BFF burger (I love the Shroom burger!) and dessert was an assortment of macarons from Quelque Chose.
I’m starting to try out a meal kit program called GoodFood this week! You choose the meals you want on their website and it gets sent in the mail with fresh ingredients and recipes. It gets delivered on Sundays, but it came a little too late to eat it that night. So, before cam, I ordered and ate sushi. Sunday was the first day getting online since Tuesday the week before. The winner was announced for the MV Community Awards at night, and we played the announcement video while live. I was so excited to hear my name called as the winner for the MV Live Tip Menu of the Year! Thank you for voting, everyone!
Tuesday was video making day! I filmed and edited the Oil Twerk Worship video and some exclusive customs. I stopped at my PO Box and picked up some packages. For dinner was a Brazilian chicken stew, and it had really great flavours.
Wednesday I had brunch at a place just outside the Gatineau Park called Tonique. Ordered were a mushroom avocado benedict and a crepe with egg, bacon, Mozza cheese, and maple syrup. I would definitely go back! I planned on having a spa day at Nordik, and this was a 2-minute drive away. It was a perfect day to get outside and relax!
Thursday I started building a dresser that I had ordered earlier in the week. That took a couple of hours, and I still didn’t get started on the drawers itself. That’s Friday’s job. I did some cleaning and work things on my computer. For supper, it was a delicious udon noodle dish! I’m claiming this one as my favourite for the week.
