May 3 – 9, 2019
Wow, this was a busy week! A lot of ups and downs, and crazy different weather too. I’ll tell you all about it in this week’s blog.
On Friday, May 3rd I went out for dinner. I had a craving for paella and went looking around Ottawa. I found a great place out in Kanata (15-20 minute drive from downtown Ottawa). The restaurant is called Aperitivo and it’s located inside a huge strip mall/shopping centre beside a movie theatre. The focus is on sharing plates. The first plate I had was grilled halloumi with marinated eggplant, tahini, and honey. The second plate was the paella with rabbit, escargot, green and lima beans. The third plate was the braised & fried pork shank with creamed kale and pickled red onion. Hungry yet? My mouth is watering just thinking about eating those again! Aperitivo is definitely a recommended spot. To top it all off I had an almond and polenta tart (blood orange, stracciatella, and orange sugar) with a scoop of dark chocolate chip ice cream. Yum!
Saturday night I watched a UFC Fight Night that was actually happening in Ottawa. I didn’t end up getting tickets for the reason that they were too expensive. The tickets that I would’ve bought were almost at the very back, and I would’ve watched the fights on the jumbo screen anyway. So, I figured watching it on my TV in the comfort of my own home and couch would be a better option. I only knew one fighter on the whole card (Al Iaquinta) and unfortunately, he lost in the main event. Overall I thought it was a decent card to watch.
Sunday morning when I woke up I looked out the window to a gorgeous sunny day, around 20 degrees Celsius. I decided to go for a walk and discovered the Battle of the Atlantic ceremony at the War Memorial in downtown. I watched the ceremony for a while, then continued walking to Parliament Hill and Major’s Hill Park beside the Chateau Laurier. That night, I realized I got a little bit of a sunburn on my neck and chest.
Monday was a chill day. I planned some custom video for Tuesday while sitting on my balcony. It was another gorgeous day similar to Sunday but windier. I could even feel the wind trying to close my laptop. I also re-painted my nails the dark blue colour.
Tuesday I filmed 2 custom videos, one of which you can get here! I went to get groceries after and ended up making sausages and fresh pasta with tomato sauce and portobello mushrooms. The sausages were made of moose and red wine.
On Wednesday, I entered the ManyVids Winning Wednesday contest (8 hours long). This time it was a Chocolate Covered contest, and we ended at #17! Thank you to everyone who voted for me!
Thursday I got some bad news about my website and in an attempt to fix it as fast as possible, I took the night off cam. The problem is with something behind the scenes and it really stressed me out. It will persist for the next few days, so if you see any problem with the site, please let me know. I need some positive and chill vibes for my day off on Friday.
Thank you for reading!
xoxo Lacey

And ..I am genuinely sorry about your site issues ? I hope you get them sorted soon … and are stress free … if I spot anything, I’ll be sure to let you know
