Feeling Like A Princess

February 14 – 20, 2020

My legs were aching from Thursday’s yoga class, but I went in on Friday anyway. Since it was Valentine’s Day, I spent the day with my boyfriend and went out to dinner at The Albion. I hadn’t eaten there before that night, and I would definitely go back again. The food was amazing! They had a special sharing menu made up for the occasion and I also had the wine pairings. To start, I had oysters and foie gras, then scallop ceviche with blood orange, ginger and coconut. The next dishes were baked monkfish with risotto, beurre blanc, and endive, then francoboili (a type of ravioli) with oxtail, cacao, and crispy kale. For the last main dish of the evening, it was elk served with fondant potatoes, carrots and Labrador tea sauce. Dessert was a combination of cheese and chocolates to close off the night. I was also given a rose to take home on my exit of the restaurant!

Saturday I cleaned the apartment for a bit before coming on cam. I ate Popeyes for supper while re-watching the movie 8 Mile. There was a UFC fight night on and I watched the last couple fights around midnight before heading to bed.

I had a photoshoot day on Sunday with a new photographer, Pedro. You can follow his main account and boudoir account on Instagram! This shoot with my new pink and purple pastel corset will be for February’s photo set. I will be releasing it at the end of the month!

Monday was Family Day here and also the last day of Winterlude. After my yoga class, I took a free shuttle bus over to Gatineau and saw the snow sculptures, tube slides, and other carvings. My replenishment of Nespresso coffee pods got delivered with their box of salted caramel dark chocolate promotion for Valentine’s Day! They make great coffee AND delicious chocolate! Who knew?

After yoga on Tuesday, I organized what I needed to meet with my accountant in the afternoon. I like to get a headstart before the appointments fill up! Afterward, I made a pork and noodles dish for supper and took the time to catch up on my messages.

Wednesday morning I cleaned my apartment and went out for a walk. It was a gorgeous sunny day with hardly a breeze at -5 degrees Celcius. For work, I made polaroids and entered the Shades of Grey ManyVids contest. We placed at 60th!

Thursday for yoga, the class I was looking forward to had to be switched to a normal yoga flow because of technical problems with the speakers. I still enjoyed the class but was a little disappointed to have to wait until next week to do it again. I did some more cleaning at home and made plans for a friend to come over on Friday.

FYI, next week is the last week to get your wall hearts and win the Valentine prize I’ve put together! Get your heart here!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo Lacey
