Glued To The Screen

July 5 – 11, 2019

This week I have been having a lot of screen time with editing the July photo set and other shenanigans you’ll read about in here!

On my day off on Friday, I was cleaning and putting the finishing touches on last week’s blog post. I picked up a friend and drove to the Champlain Lookout up in the Gatineau Park. To our surprise, the lookout was barricaded off. Looking online, I found an article about the erosion and a part of the railing for the lookout had fallen down the cliff.

After eating lunch there, we drove back towards Ottawa. Just out of the park, we stopped at a spot to look at the Ottawa River.

Saturday after being online I ate supper at Burgers and Fries Forever. I had the Shroom burger that had sauteed mushrooms, swiss cheese, and garlic aioli. I got a combo with a drink and fries with a garlic aioli dip.

Saturday was also UFC night and a big one at that! I was so excited to see the full main card with big names. The first was a welterweight fight that went all 3 rounds with a jiu-jitsu focus throughout. The next fight was a Light Heavyweight that finished as a knockout in the second round. The second welterweight fight was basically over before it started. Making UFC history, Jorge Masvidal knocks out the then-undefeated Ben Askren with a flying knee in 5 seconds of the first round. I’m so happy I got to witness it!

The co-main was the women’s bantamweight. Amanda Nunes defends her title from Holly Holm with a KO at the end of the first round. Nunes is the first female to hold 2 UFC division belts.

Last but not least, the main event. Jon Jones and Tiago Santos went 5 very exciting rounds. Not being a fan of Jones, I was cheering for Santos. Unfortunately, it finished at a split decision in Jones’ favour. I would love to see a rematch, but it doesn’t look likely.

Something you may not know about me is that I like to scrapbook sometimes. Sunday I gathered the pictures I wanted to print out and put it on my USB. I saw the new season of Stranger Things came out on Netflix on the weekend, so I started watching it before cam time.

Monday I went to Walmart to print out the pictures, and put some pages together at home. I ordered Chinese food for delivery because I had my head in my scrapbook.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday were all spent editing the July photo set. HINT it’s going to be a sandy nude beach set! I hope to get it out to you lovely subscribers soon!

Thanks for reading!

xoxo Lacey
