Preparation

November 2020

I spent the majority of November preparing for my big December month. I was basically doing double-duty in order to get my November tasks done AND December planned and complete. I will be online EVERY DAY in December and I want to have my offline time as free and relaxing as possible. Also with winter settling in, I haven’t been getting out much. Ottawa got a big snowfall mid-month (about 20cm) and I didn’t even have my winter tires on yet!

Just before the snow fell, I took a trip out to Gatineau Park. The parkways are closed for the season now, but they still allow the parking lots to be open and you can walk in. When there’s more snow on the ground, there are over 50 snowshoe and cross-country skiing trails! In the winter I like to skate and do downhill skiing, but this year I want to try cross-country skiing in the park. Especially with COVID this year I’ve been craving being out in nature and I can see myself coming to Gatineau Park more often. I walked to Philippe Lake and because it’s the off-season, there were hardly any people and it felt so peaceful.

I did some Black Friday shopping for home appliances. My house will be coming with a fridge and stove, but I still needed to get a washer, dryer, and dishwasher. I was really happy to get some great savings on those! The moving is beginning to feel more real as January approaches and I’m starting to pack seriously. I will be taking a week or so off of work in January (as usual) but I haven’t figured out what the dates are yet.

I watched something a little different this month! I heard about the big boxing fight Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. and want to watch it. I thought the night was very well planned out with performances by Wiz Kalifa, Snoop Dog, and more. The production was more focused for the viewer at home instead of having an empty stadium feel which I really appreciated. While I enjoyed the boxing matches, I found that I like watching the MMA fighting style more. 

For November, I released the “Play With Me” photoset with me playing my Nintendo Switch in a gaming-themed onesie in black light. Speaking of, I now have my large photo sets that were exclusive to website members up for sale to download. I also retired my older photo sets and they are only available to my members now.

I hope you can make it online sometime in December! I have lots of fun days planned including my Birthday party (Dec 6th) and 3-year cammiversary (Dec 27th), blacklight show, and more! Check out my live page for more info.

I’ll close out this blog entry with some good eats! For example, the burger below is a mac and cheese EXPLOSION! It has mac-and-cheese-filled “buns”, smoked bacon, caramelized onions, beef patty, and MORE mac and cheese!
