October 2020

We’re running out of warm weather! Here in Ottawa the days have had highs of around 10 degrees Celcuis with some days even around 0 degrees. Most of the leaves have fallen off the trees and it’s been pretty rainy. There was one day in the week before Halloween with snow on the ground! It melted as the afternoon sun came out, but it was a great reminder to get an appointment for winter tires. 

This month I painted my nails with two new pink shades and a blue for my cookie monster costume.

I held a raffle for the month which included my first HD prints! Do you prefer having Polaroid pictures or large HD prints? Please let me know in the comments below.

I made a DIY costume of Cookie Monster for this year’s Halloween. I think it turned out great and my cat, Whiskey, was next to me for moral support.

The photo set for this month is called “C is for Cookie” and it shows me eating cookies in my Cookie Monster costume and stripping out of it. The full set has 58 HD pictures.

In the last week of October, I planned a “Halloweek” that had new costumes every day, games, trivia, and carving a jack-o-lantern.

I watched a new MMA company called B2 because a fighter that I know from the Ottawa area (Zach Powell) was fighting as the main event! It was in Alabama and it was a bit jarring to see there was a crowd, most of which weren’t wearing masks nor properly distancing. The whole card was entertaining to watch and Zach Powell won his fight!

The big UFC this month landed on a Saturday afternoon, so I switched around my camming days so that I could watch. The cards were great, but I was mostly looking forward to the main event: Khabib vs. Gaethje. It was a strong fight that ended with a submission in the second round for Khabib. His record is now 29-0 and after the fight, he announced his retirement. I’m disappointed that I won’t be able to see him fight anymore because he was one of my favourite fighters in the UFC.

As for Netflix, I just finished watching Scandal, The Queen’s Gambit, and am finishing my first anime called Blood of Zeus. Scandal was 7 seasons long. I really liked the story throughout and thought they ended it well. The Queen’s Gambit is a limited series that follows a young orphan growing up and finding her love and obsession for Chess. Blood of Zeus is an anime with gorgeous visuals and a Greek Mythology storyline.

We had Thanksgiving this month in Canada. I didn’t have any turkey, but I did have a Thanksgiving spiced steak with potatoes, gravy, and a cranberry sauce. Here are some more meals I had this month that I found to be delicious! 

Coming up in November, I will be busy planning out my big December month! December holds my 23rd birthday and my 3-year cammiversary. I like to plan out some festivities including a HUGE raffle draw! Come have fun with me online as I reach for #1 MV Live for December!
